What is Lifestyle Design?

Lifestyle design sounds like an ambiguous term, but it is in fact exactly what it sounds like.  It is not a one step action you can take, but more of a complete paradigm shift and philosophy regarding proactively designing your lifestyle versus simply reacting and taking what falls into your lap.

Corbett Barr sums of the ideal of lifestyle design quite elegantly here.  For those unfamiliar with it, this can be a life changing paradigm shift and I highly recommend you consider how to use lifestyle design proactively in your own life.

The next step I would reccommend is to read The Four Hour Work Week by Tim Ferris.  Ferris popularized lifestyle design, and his book and blog are fantastic.

While his advice is great for anyone, he writes for a slightly older audience then very recent graduates.  A large aim of this blog is to distill his immensely useful philosophies for a slightly younger audience.  That said, myself (and just about anyone who has read it) highly recommend his book.  If you are ambitious and passionate about getting the most out of life do yourself a favor and read it immediately.
